When I decided to serialize Inconstant Moon online, I originally thought I could simply use various autumn photographs that I already had.

But in practice, each chapter seemed to call out for its own image. Some were photographs were ones I’d already taken that I needed to find among my photo albums or computer hard drives, some had to be staged from scratch, some needed their own a photo shoot, some photographs were that I just couldn’t manage on my own, and others needed varying degrees of digital manipulation to achieve the image I wanted.

Since the story takes place at a fictitious university in a fictitious town, I’ve used photographs from various southern Ontario university campuses. Where people appear I have made sure to anonymize them.
